Yahqovah Was this album intentionally prophetic? Maybe. But no longer will they say the fathers have eaten sour grapes and the childen's teeth are set on edge...every man will be judged for his own iniquity. yet the will of God is that all repent! HALLELUYAH! Compositionally/musically this album is super fun and gnarly guuud. "Hands Out" is a wee bit metal and I like it. 15+ years of waiting for SP and the gang to put this out and I'm still 4 years late to the party...
P.S. Smash and burn EVERY idol! Favorite track: Hands Out.

cageck11 It's basement rawk at it's finest. Criteria may be the most underrated band in the country. All 3 of their albums are classics. Do not sleep. Highly recommended 🔥 Favorite track: Agitate Resuscitate.

The Eco-Copywriter Criteria is back! And they still know how to rock steady. Favorite track: This Reign Is Ours.

caramon17 I've loved everything Stephen Pedersen has done since I saw The White Octave in my little town in South Georgia, definitely looking forward to this release! Favorite track: Agitate Resuscitate.

Chad O. Unbelievable. What an amazing return for Criteria. This album just rocks from the opening track all the way to the final track. I can't stop listening. Highly unlikely that any record this year tops this! Favorite track: We Are The Ones Who Make It So.

dakotarussellt Great singing, awesome riffs. Every song is different in every way. All of them are radical. Favorite track: We Are. We Are. We Aren't..

By the time I wake up in the night sweat dried above my dormant eyes have I lost the will to live I swear I died a thousand lives just trying to get across your lines Have I crossed your rubicon Then one of us will start to push and shove We agitate to resuscitate Our love our way It’s ten miles high It’s a ten ton weight We don’t want it any way We know what you want we know how to get it we know what you want we want to deliver it We know what you want we know how to get it we know what you want we want to deliver it I thought I dotted all the ‘i’s I swear I diligenced this life but I lost the will to live then one of us will start to push and shove we can’t accept/realize we’re in love for the very last time you’re in the love for the very last time. Our love our way It’s ten miles high It’s a ten ton weight We don’t want it any way We know what you want we know how to get it we know what you want we want to deliver it We know what you want we know how to get it we know what you want we want to deliver it We know what you want we know how to get it we know what you want we want to deliver it

The Saint 03:36
Purity of heart, mind and soul And they’re all three under control did you ever think to ask if somebody already has and I have only one song left to sing You are the rock on which I stand I am the clay. You’re the artisan’s hand. Handing out your sage advice You’re the pied piper We’re the thirsting mice Say “so long” to callous advice The packed that we make is to live better lives I know it’s long and it’s hard But the road less traveled is way more fun We’ll travel through the muck and mire We cross this bridge together Through the hardest mile I can’t imagine another way to go through life If I’m not alone We roll the dice. We juggle knives. We have such interesting lives [guitarmony breakdown] I canonize The Saint today I cauterize her company My heart says “go!” and it ought to know It guided me to you, to you My heart says “go!” and it ought to know It guided me to you, to you [I know love now] I know it’s long and it’s hard But the road less traveled is way more fun We’ll travel through the muck and mire We cross this bridge together With a hardened smile I can’t imagine another way to go through life If I’m not alone We roll the dice. We juggle knives. We have such interesting lives

We Pretend 02:46
We pretend Living out our half-lives A solemn end Walking through the land mines In the night, awake, to celebrate in the cold dark hour Breaking down like an enzyme You’re stuttering Your hands are shaking Your muscles ache Your lungs constricting So, this is dying My end has no timing So, this is dying My end has no Timing the answer is never the answer And while our friends are blown apart We celebrate a fake-tanned Bonaparte Is this the end or is this just the start I can make amends if you are true to your heart Can you be true to your heart There’s no defending an answer when it leads to cancer Break away before you break me down Down like and enzyme it won’t be the first time

I want it just the same but I’ll work twice as hard as you Diligence not in vain I will destroy a part of you If that is what it takes, there will be no apologies We both know what’s at stake This is my new theology I create your mistakes Force you into apologies Destroy your sense of place Until you wander aimlessly How am I supposed to win When you won’t concede the score The litmus test’s imprisoned You got the luck of the draw so I’m not the one to console you I want it just like you But I am not insufferable Zero-sum point of view Distort your endless tragedy We are. We are. We aren’t. Now that I know your game I sure will not participate Our interests aren’t the same From this I will not deviate We are. We are. We aren’t. You’ve racked up all the blame I cannot stop your hectic pace Crash course; don’t deviate Crash course will be your endless game We are. We are. We aren’t. How am I supposed to win When you won’t concede the score The litmus test’s imprisoned You got the luck of the draw so I’m not the one to console you I’m not the one to console you.

Fun . . . darling it’s been too long We’re gonna shake off this heavy fog and greet the morning sun Exploding beauteous one I want to hear your engine’s hum We came back and dipped our toes back into rock “Big Rock” or “Skirt” for German folks We’re tense We’re tight We’ll loosen up as soon as the chorus erupts A bridge hanging from a wire We curse the fall We all make mistakes No one here’s a saint We’re not your puppet on a string Bow to your king We don’t want to play by rules that you make We’re bound and determined to break Our friends are joining hands This reign is ours!

Tight Rope 04:08
It’s just like any other day Impatience left me in a daze promises falling like the prey and the dead I leave behind my back the smaller talk just fades out of the dark makes its escape and finds a quiet place to lay down its dark head and finally die I’m lighting matches to enflame the fire coursing through our veins and vanities we must escape We starve today to walk high wires A tight rope act you’ll never retire Release It Release It The tension breaks will crush your spine The cause of it is already divined Release it Release it If we escape this colder world Underground Never heard Are we then just a part of the problem and not the cure How many times have you tried to relocate your mind To another place from where it is We starve today to walk high wires A tight rope act you’ll never retire Release It Release It The tension breaks will crush your spine I made my bed, why you still lying in it Release it Release it The constant is you don’t want to relate to The voices in your head They will not raise the dead I remember a time when I could relocate your mind To another place from where it is We starve today to walk high wires A tight rope act you’ll never retire Release It Release It The tension breaks will crush your spine The cause of it is already divined Release it Release it
7.
Hands Out 03:22
In a caustic space There is no room for us But without debate How will we know I look into your mind’s eye and see There is nothing there to defend Ten thousand angels descend with their heads down and hands out Ten thousand angels descend with their heads down and hands out And right on; I laid it on Redrum Ten thousand angels descend with their heads down and hands out Ten thousand angels descend with their heads down and hands out And right on; I laid it on

Cold paralyzed Thinking about the end We can’t just talk it out until we’re dead So, instead I’ll scream it out I’ll sing it from my chest We’ve got no storyline I’m afraid we’ve reached the end One’s half alive The other mostly dead When will we recognize what we’ve done to ourselves We cannot talk about the pain that we both have I’ve come to realize I was never the better half You have a right to know That’s why I wrote this song But this is no radar love song Reign of destruction You can carry what I did alone One’s half alive The other mostly dead When will we recognize what we’ve done to ourselves We cannot talk about the pain that we both have I know you’ve realized I was never the better half You have a right to know That’s why I wrote this song But this is no radar love song Reign of destruction You can carry what I did alone You can reach out or let it go The frustration you can control Because we are the ones who know We are the ones who make it so You have a right to know That’s why I wrote this song But this is no radar love song Reign of destruction You can carry what I did alone We can reach out or let it go frustration we can control Because we are the ones who know We are the ones who make it so
9.
Peace 03:37
I want to know my cause I want to lose my name in it Or has it been so long I know endeavor to forget I want to write these words I want to call them sweet vignettes I want to cause a scene and then never hear the end of it In warring lives you do no favors The compromise was settlements Now you’re trying to defend your encroachment You’re pulling the trigger And isn’t that why we pray While our hearts turn dark today And it ain’t a god’s fault It’s a human failure We still carry on life today Despite the hardlines weight and the suffering still today I mark your words I want to never hear the end of them And through our pain We still celebrate life today You better mark my words or you’ll never hear the end of them The highlife was taken low By what you’ve diagnosed You are the root and the cause You’re pulling the trigger And it just won’t figure Let it rain Cannon fire calling Monuments to the Fallen rise We aren’t caught in a rut We want world peace We want it right away
